Our products are carefully chosen with the environment in mind: they don’t just have organic content, we also consider how they are produced, what they are free from, and how they are delivered.
Environmentally conscious hair.
When Shane started hairdressing 36 years ago, his was no ordinary training. Being taught historical hairdressing techniques before learning contemporary styling allowed him to work with hair in a way that has been practiced for hundreds of years and to develop his cutting edge style from this basis. These skills have been developed into the biophilic studios that form The Rookery Salon.
During his career, Shane has worked with creative teams from Vidal Sassoon, HOB, and Francesco in Europe, America, and here in the UK.
His work as an educator and an innovator has led to collaborations with universities developing eco certifications.

As one of the founding creators of ELF Hair Care, he brings his knowledge of hair science and styling to a wider audience, with products that are 100% plant and mineral based.

Shane is a member of Guild of Master Craftsmen, and a State Registered Senior Hairdresser.
